What is in the Excel export?

FinanceConvert creates an .xlsx workbook with a Transactions worksheet. It is a transaction table for review and mapping, not an accounting company backup.

Reviewed 19 October 2026 · Scope and editorial method

Worksheet columns

Date, Description, Memo, Debit, Credit, Balance, Amount, Currency, FITID, AccountID, BankID and AccountType appear as columns. Date cells hold validated dates; amount cells hold numbers. Available identifiers remain text, preserving leading zeros.

Blank cells are meaningful

A blank Balance means the source did not provide one. It is not calculated from an assumed opening balance. Currency can be unspecified when the source does not identify it. Missing metadata is not filled with a guessed bank identity.

Review before calculating

Filter by account and currency before summing rows. Do not add different currencies together. Compare signed Amount with Credit minus Debit and confirm the date convention. Source row order is preserved; sort a copy if you want a different presentation.

Excel and PDF quality are separate

A valid workbook does not establish that every PDF transaction was recognized. For document sources, compare rows on each page and inspect multiline descriptions, dates and debit/credit columns. No formulas or macros are generated.

Input support

Excel is currently an output format. Arbitrary .xlsx workbooks are not accepted as sources. For spreadsheet input, export a supported CSV with a recognizable header row.
